In 2001, when I was 17, I dropped out of college (St.Ann’s College, Mehdipatnam) and ran away to Mumbai with just Rs 5,000 with me. I started off with modelling. After giving about 50 auditions each day for more than six months, I got my first break as a heroine in a film called Timepass which unfortunately flopped. SEXUALITY: My sexuality is my USP. I completely believe in my sexuality and I am not at all ashamed of it. Despite the fact that I was very shy as a kid, I had my first sexual experience when I was sixteen. It gives me a high. I would in fact want to do films like Basic Instinct. I want to be like Bipasha Basu who is so effortlessly seductive. In less than six months, I am going to replace Mallika Sherawat. FITNESS REGIME: I don’t go to the gym. But I do a lot of jogging. I am not a food freak. I eat only chappatis and drink lots of water. TELUGU FILMS: My first Telugu movie, A Film By Arvind, was a superhit. My next Telugu titled Something Something is similar to the Bollywood hit No Entry. MARRIAGE: I do not want to get married as I am too self-centered and cannot commit to anybody. By preferring to be single throughout my life, I can always have the companion of my choice and if need be, dump him whenever he becomes a liability! I think marriage is a sheer waste of time. It burdens you with unnecessary baggage like parentage and unwanted responsibilities. Moreover, even if you wish to seek a divorce, you would have to shell out alimony. Tamil Movie Raam to be screened in Cyprus International Film Festival

Sivaji Ganesan’s "Veerapandiya Kattabomman" movie, which was powerful and all-time classic movie was the last Tamil movie to be screened and up for competition in Asia-Africa Internation Film Festival at Cairo in 1960. After this, while many Tamil movies may have been screened, none were chosen for any awards. Now, Ram has created history by being chosen to be screened in Cyprus International Film Festival. GREAT! Kadhaludan

Director Raajakumaran follows the same path laid down previously by directors like Agathiyan. After the failure of his second movie Vinnukkum Mannukkum, he has attempted to find success by virtually cloning his first movie, the entertaining and successful Nee Varuvaai Ena. But while Kaadhaludan follows the same trajectory as the earlier movie, it fails to recreate its charm. So the result here is boredom alternating with the feeling of having seen it all before. Kalyan(Murali), a magician and singer in a troupe, does not believe in visiting a girl and then deciding whether to wed her or not. Instead, his goal is to get to know the girl without her realising that she is his potential bride and then make his decision. So he follows this route with Kavitha(Devayani), the girl his mother has selected. He arrives in her village, helps her in several ways and gradually falls for her too. But just when he is ready to reveal the truth about himself, she reveals that she has a lover Durai(Abbas) and is waiting for his return from Bombay. For the entire first half, one gets the feeling that Eraajakumaran has simply remade his own Nee Varuvaai Ena with Murali and Abbas replacing Parthiban and Ajith. The fact that Devayani, playing the same kind of role, is the heroine in both movies only reinforces this feeling. So we have Murali falling for Devayani and and in a similar fashion, thinking that she has feelings for him too. But Devayani has no such ideas and has a love life of her own and Murali realises this just when is all set to reveal his feelings for her. Again, her flashback is a collection of incidents where Abbas charms her with his cute acts. But the key difference here is that the situations seem unbelievable and silly most of the time. While Murali's policy seems lofty, his actions after seeing Devayani are uninteresting and overdone. For instance, Devayani and her father stand by idly while Murali and his friends go off to work for the man to whom Devayani's father owes some money! And while the suspense in Nee Varuvaai Ena was well maintained with small hints, Devayani's excitement when Murali mentions Bombay makes it clear she has a lover there. The movie's few good moments come after Murali's trip to Bombay. A number of surprises and twists are packed into a short time which helps in keeping us both engrossed and guessing. I especially liked the way something minor from before(two people with the same name) was used later on. But the way things are resolved seems rather anti climactic and from then onwards the movie moves predictably. Murali's final monologue goes on for a little too long, which hides the fact that it does contain some nice lines and good points. Murali plays his usual role and adds nothing new. Devayani is her usual self too while Abbas impresses in a small role. Ramesh Khanna raises some laughs with his dialog delivery though the script doesn't help him much. S.A.Rajkumar's songs remind us of earlier tunes but are soft and pleasing. Saturday evening, summaa veetla irunthaa paakkalamnga intha padam!!!

Kalabak Kadhalan

Kanmani character had dollops of negative shades but it only spurred Akshaya to shed her inhibition and walk away with honours and pride intact. Her improvisation meant an extended footage with the added comfort and luxury of four songs canned on her. The film in reference is Kalabak Kadalan, where the unpretentious teenager turned out to be a tough customer. As the one madly in love with her sister's husband, she pleads with him to accept as the second wife. She has to get her man, come what may, not averse to jettison her clothes and shed copious tears. Hogging all the media attention in that fiery act, Akshaya sounded that it is only the start. Could not have been better or so one thought till you got to hear what it really meant from the horse's mouth! A second year student of business administration, Akshaya said she is no mean singer, both in the classical and light form. Stage shows were one too many, happy to be the lone female voice for it presented more opportunities. Akshaya's first taste of the medium was much early, totally in awe as the younger sibling of Simran in the unconventional storyline of KovilpattiVeeralakshmi. 'You only carry happy feelings of the experience sharing frames with Simran and brush up the camera knowledge from a seasoned hand like Ashok Kumar. Director Rajeswar had the guile to project it in a huge canvas. It was good for starters, helping to get an insight of the field and allied areas.' Akshaya has a few offers lined-up soliciting her consent. Getting typecast and falling in the rut is the uneasiness playing her mind. Now that she has the time to sit back and look at the stars, it does not seem so distant. The dark horse of Kalabak Kadalan has the trappings of a long distance as the tag.

The story is simple. V.S.Raghavan was the chief minister of TN and he was killed by Shayaji Shinde(Bharathi movie hero). Some how this murder was recorded in C.D. by his close adviser using advanced technologies. And Shayaji Shinde sworns as C.M. Accidently sudhesi gets the C.D. and he started blockmailing the C.M. that you have to implement the plans as his idea otherwise he will be thrown out of the C.M. post because he will release the C.D. to press media/public. Sudhesi's idea's are follows 1. sending the doctors to villages 2. all the VIP's/Office's children have to study in corporation schools, 3. making suprise visit to the city so that all the departments will function well 4. Those who are all studying M.B.B.S. have to work in villages for one year otherwise they will not be awarded(given degree certificate) as doctors. 5. If an officer is doing corruption and minimum 5000 people have to sign againist him and if they file petition then the office will be punished. 6. On the other hand,if an officer is doing good for the people and if he gets transfer by political fight and again minimum 5000 people sign in favour of him then he will be retained. etc.. Because of this new innovative ideas, Shayaji Shinde was honoured by U.N. So the C.M. praises our Sudhesi that everything is because of you but nobody know that you are the person behind this new ideas. Now Sudhesi says that i will not release the C.D. to public because i need to execute many more plans to help the public and poor people. And the movie ends.

Kovai Brothers

This movie is a kuppai. I was expecting some good quality and long-standing comedy would be there. Namitha is hot, hot, hot!!! Enjoy watching her. They have taken concepts from many movies and fit them into this movie. They have tried to imitate, spoof various movies and individuals, in order to generate some comedy, but of no use. Vadivel has done his level best. Initial comedies from him are disgusting, which are slowly improved upon. But overall, Vadivel has done lot better before! I hate this Sibi, but his father seem to push him into this industry. As you know this guy also will become a star, in tamil film industry! It is always crazy in two things - who will become a star and who will win in political elections!! Even if you don't have any useful work to do, do not watch this movie!!

Ghajini

I watched this movie in theatre and this is the movie I enjoyed talking about it with my wife, when we spoke first time. We even watched it together in Madurai!:-) A scintillating performance from Suriya. Heres an actor who never stops surprising you, revealing new facets of his talent from film to film, amazing one with his versatility, holding out promise of more untapped talent. It's fascinating to watch him in action. Sanjay Ramasamy character is sooooperb.

Mudhalvan

This is one movie, I have watched so many times - in theatre and online - lankasri.com as well. What a story, what a screenplay, direction, music, photography, choreography? Amazing!!!! I don't have any other words to explain this. Just watch this movie, if you have not watched. It is also quite inspiring movie. Shankar is the man standing behind this movie. Do not listen to stories, just watch this movie and enjoy it. Behind the scene stuff: Sankar first thought of Superstar Rajinikanth, then that plan was dropped because Rajini was asking for production share, which is not wrong. Also that is a good decision because - Sankar would not have come to limelight, if Rajini would have acted. Rajini, as a superstar dominates covers all the other talents. I happenned to see Sankar's interview, in which he was telling about the way he came up with the complete story. He said he first thought of an idea called - what if someone, takes up the chief minister post and rule the state!? Slowly using this idea as a dot, he drew concentric lines, it seems. Quite interesting and this is the usual thing, anybody does with an idea, but picturizing the thought process was fun to listen. Anyway, it is a must watch movie and this is a superhit in tamil, telugu and hindi as well!! Enjoy it!

Kadal

I watched this movie in tamiltricks.com. I would have probably enjoyed more than I enjoyed in computer, if I would have watched in a theatre. Anyway, about the rating it is a proper madurai kadal movie. I loved this movie for its "manvaasanai". I could feel the smell of Madurai, when I watched this movie. Sandhya had acted really well and I am sure she got recognized in the tamil film world very much. This film was a super hit in tamil and telugu. Even though the movie is based out of a real story, the main success for this film is screenplay and direction. HatsOff to the director of this movie. Overall, a must watch movie, if you are from Madurai or Not from Madurai!!
